Matt Petrow

Chief Financial Officer

Matt leads the administration for Coconut Software as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Matt earned his Chartered Accountant designation while articling at Deloitte LLP in Saskatoon, and also holds a Masters in Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce Degree, both from the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. Before joining Coconut Matt was the Director of Finance for TCU Place Performing Arts & Convention Centre in Saskatoon. In all his roles Matt has always been dedicated to continuous improvement, with a knack for researching and implementing new systems and technologies. This made joining the Coconut team a natural fit.

What do you love about working at Coconut?

Coming from a rigid finance background, I find the casual work environment at Coconut very refreshing. The team and workplace culture are great, and the opportunity to help set the direction for a growing company is very exciting.

How do you enjoy spending your time when you’re not at work?

I recently became a new dad and love spending free time with my family. I’ve also been involved in soccer and Ukrainian dancing for many years. Some of my other interests include investing, home renovation projects, and travelling. I especially enjoy theme parks and live entertainment, and so my favourite places to visit are New York City and Orlando, Florida.
